Brugger's sawmill
The Brugger saw is shown the oldest building in the district Titisee.
The water wheel at the original Klopfsäge was driven by the water of the saw pond 'Eisweiher". 1956 Emil Brugger Brugger advanced the Café Brugger to a small Hotel with guest beds. The wood should come from his own Brugger forest. To implement he had to invest first in the sawmill. The old Klopfsäge has to be replaced by a highly advanced and powerful Gattersäge. With great pride, Emil Brugger sawed the wood for the roof of the hotel by himself. The Black Forest wood bellows of such high quality that they were obtained by the construction in 2011 and now carry the roof of JAN'S RESTAURANT.
